Fire Audit

 

Under the provisions of the 1981 Fire Services Act and amendments in 2003 every company must manage the risk of fire within their place of work. It is important that all life saving equipment is tested and maintained in line with this legislation.

 

Section 18 (2) of the Act states:
It shall be the duty of every person having control over premises to which this section applies to make all reasonable measures to guard against the outbreak of fire on such premises, and to ensure as far as reasonably practical the safety of persons on the premises in the event of an outbreak of fire.

 

 

To help your company ensure you are compliant, Keytrainer Ireland Ltd will conduct an audit to validate the inspection, testing, maintenance and recording of all fire equipment and inspections in line with the relevant standards.  All this information is normally stored in the buildings Fire & General Safety Register for inspection by the local Fire Authority, the Health and Safety Authority or the company’s insurance company.
